Hand Building Course for Beginners

Learn how to make your own ceramic pieces from scratch.
What you'll do

Come and learn three superstar hand-building techniques to create your own designs in this four-part handbuilding course in Melbourne with Diana Ceramics!

In this four-week course, you will learn basic coil, pinch, and slab building techniques while working one-on-one with a friendly teacher. Not only will you learn how to make your own ceramic art, but you will also get the chance to meet like-minded creatives too!

Over the first three sessions, you will learn the basic handbuilding techniques to get hands-on making your own bowls, planters, mugs, plates, and more. In the last session, you will learn everything you need to know about glazing and then turn your masterpieces into fully functional ceramic pieces that you can use at home!

Classes are in-person at Diana Ceramic Studio in Burwood at a set time each week with two hours of instruction. You are then able to come into the studio for Open Studio Hours to practise what you learned at your leisure outside of your scheduled class time!
